Paws

Just feeding some raccoons at the beach in Florida..weird, right?

"This is me, Eliza Thornberry, part of your average family. I've got a dad, a mom, and a sister. There is Donnie - we found him. And Darwin, he found us. Oh yeah, about our house - it moves, because we travel all over the world. You see, my dad hosts this nature show, and my mom shoots it. Okay, so we're not that average. And between you and me, something amazing happened... and now I can talk to animals. It's really cool, but totally secret. And you know what? Life's never been the same."

ugh..I wish!

Dina and Amanda left a little bit ago and I can't help but miss them already. Sometimes it really sucks going to school so far from the rest of your friends..

Sarasota

Here are a few pictures I took while in Sarasota of the Ringling campus, a friend's kitten, Dina's apartment and a watercolor drawing I did.

Just got back to Boston last night after an 8 hour drive up here from Virginia with my two best friends Dina and Amanda. So, I have them here with me for a few days and I am soooo happy :)

More pictures soon!

Wanna Have Sects?

Sorry for the lack of photo updates, I only seem to get good internet connection 30 percent of the time here..plus, I've been running around with Dina of course ;)

The other day Dina, her roommate Carinda and I went over to campus to try our hands at graffiti. They have this long wall that's for the students to graffiti on, which I thought was pretty cool. But, since it was our first time, we obviously aren't ready for the streets, especially since we decided to paint fishies, a panda, and a buddha saying "Wanna have sects?" Real bad-ass, right?

Either way, it was a lot of fun, and we'll probably do a second round some time before Friday. Hopefully this paint will come off my finger nails by then..my cuticles have been neon pink and orange for days..

Chap-oh!

Kinee Diouf, shot by Armin Morbach, styling by Katrin Gerhardy, from foto_decadent.

Currently sitting next to Dina in one of her graphic design classes at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. I thought my 4:30 pm class was late, but poor Dina has a 7-9:45 class, ah! I figured I could suffer a little with her..

Go-deism, minimalism, futurism, evolutionism, revolutionism (don't believe this is a word), cinematographic theory, constructivist (again, word?), potentiality and a couple other -isms, are all things this teacher has said in the past five minutes. Ridiculous!

Art is hard.

Mother Goose

Caroline Trentini shot by Tim Walker for Vogue UK March 2009.

A last taste of winter, which I have momentarily escaped for the sunny skies of Sarasota, FL. The weather is beautiful here, and I love being able to open all the windows and feel the breeze on my bare legs. I've definitely missed it.

Spring Break...sigh.
