Janglin
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros at Coachella, photos by thecobrasnake.
"Well our mama’s they left us
And our daddy’s took a ride
And we walked out of the castle
And we held our head up high
Well we once were the Jesters
In your Kingdom by the sea
And now we’re out to be the masters
For to set our spirits free – set free
We Want to feel ya!
We don’t mean to kill ya!
We come back to Heal ya – Janglin soul
Edward and the Magnetic Zeros"
I need to be in this band, end of story.

Between Butterflies
Surreal paintings by Joshua Petker that illustrate the emotive power of color and its ability to alter the mood of an image. I've been noticing lately how strongly I react to color in imagery, especially when juxtaposed with black and white..and I think it's definitely had an effect on my work and perceptions. But have I always responded this way? Has it always played a role sub-consciously? I'm not sure, but looking through all the images I've chosen to post for this blog, I'd probably have to say yes.
Also, Petker has a solo show coming up on April 17 titled 'Between Butterflies' at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA.

Soir Long
YSL Couture 1988.
My little sister was just accepted to Parsons in NY for fashion merchandising and will be starting in the fall..aaaaaah! they grow up so fast! I'm so proud of her and I wish I could be in New York alongside her..but I'm sure I'll get there soon enough! This image board reminds me of when my sister and I used to fill notebooks of clothing designs when we were little..I miss that.
