Every Single Where

Paintings by Pakayla Bieihn from her Double Exposure Series.

It's amazing how artists can make their work look so photo-realistic. And I don't think I've ever seen double exposure photography recreated in a painting..these are seriously amazing.

Also, I believe the artist currently has a solo show at Gallery 6 in San Francisco titled, Every Single Where.

Le Moustache

Graphic designs by Alberto Ojeda Pieras aka Le Moustache.

I really like the retro vibe of these..and the selective use of color..definitely have a vintage feel with a modern twist.

Burton

“One person's crazyness is another person's reality.” -Tim Burton

Some of Tim Burton's drawings, paintings and sketches are now on exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan until April 15th. I'm such a big fan of Burton and his work, and these drawings are quintessential to his personality and art. They remind me of a cross between Shel Silverstein and Ralph Steadman's work..which is the perfect combination of childhood fantasies, cartoon-like monsters and playful goth. I really need to get myself up to New York..I'd love to see these in person.

Ricci

Christina Ricci wearing Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs Spring 2010.

I've always loved Christina Ricci. When I was in my tomboy phase she was a major inspiration to me, both in her style of dress and acting abilities. I've always had the impression that she is unique, smart and immune to the pettiness of today's Hollywood, which I find to be extraordinary characteristics for someone who has grown up in the spotlight. From Mermaids to the Addams Family, Casper to Now and Then, Monster to Fear and Loathing and Sleepy Hollow to Black Snake Moan, she has proven herself as a very strong person, both on and off the camera. And....she just looks really great here.
