mKO

MK for Fashion Magazine.

"When I get dressed, I think of it as dress-up time, like the clothes are costume pieces. That's why I like vintage- it has a story behind it. I'm not afraid of walking down the street in something that people think is crazy. What I can't stand is looking like everybody else." -MK

Piercing

Photos from various places, I can't remember where exactly. But I've always found black and white photography  inspiring, so I thought I's post them.

I can't wait for midterms to be over, then.. Spring Break! (which I finally figured out yesterday). On Saturday I'm going to visit my friend Dina in Sarasota, FL, where she goes to Ringling, which is an amazing art school. I can't wait! It'll be nice to have some sunshine, warmth and sand between my toes :) And then we'll be flying home to DC for a few days, even though my parents will unfortunately be at my bay house so I won't get to see them..And finally, Amanda, Dina and I will be driving back up to Boston so that they can spend their Spring Break avec moi, wahoo! Lots of traveling, but then again, it's one of my favorite things, so I really wouldn't have it any other way. Just wish I could see Jeff though, but then again, we don't always get everything..

Iridescent

So Olivia showed me some pictures the other day of some dramatic makeup she's been doing on her little brother..sorry Frank..and it looked so cool that I decided I wanted to do something. So we grabbed my roommate Sarah and I set to work creating a peacock feather. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and the colors were even more vibrant in person. I think it might have taken a little while to get off though..Oh, and the earrings were given to me by my grandmother, I think they're made of shell, another treasure from my attic raid :)

Out There

Here are some of the pictures I took during Cute is What We Aim For's set on Tuesday at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. Unfortunately I was too lazy to get my camera from the bus when they played at the Fillmore in New York, but I guess I already have about 500 pictures of them playing..ehhh. It's funny to watch Jeff in the midst of his guitar-playing alter-ego, completely entranced in what he's doing and jumping all over the stage and flying past me, making those funny faces only musicians make,.. :)

But all in all, it's amazing to see how far they've come as a band and as individuals. I love every single one of them so much, and I can honestly say they have all made an unforgettable impression on my life. I can't believe I've been with Jeffrey for almost three years now, and that we've managed to live separate lives together, if that makes any sense..I just know I'm lucky, I really, truly am.

Wass meets West

Photos from thecobrasnake.

Erin Wasson's new line for RVCA. I like that she seems very true to herself, her designs not trying to break new ground, but instead, reflecting her free spirit and west-coast nonchalance. And she knows how to rock the leather and animal prints..
